The IFS organises several events during each year for members to meet and become acquainted with one another.

These events include Pesäpallo, Ladies’ Nights, Pub Nights, Theatre Nights & Cultural Outings to places of interest especially those of Finnish interest such as exhibitions, or screenings of Finnish Films in Dublin.


The main event of the year is always the annual Independence Day Party, when the Society gathers to mark Finland’s independence.
Curiously enough December 6 was also the date of Ireland’s independence!
The Society has also always met to celebrate Vappu, most recently with a party.
