Suomi School in Dublin 2010

FINLAND KOULU COMMENCES AGAIN ON SATURDAY 23rd JANUARY 2010

The school is specially targeted to Finnish ex-patriot children and aims to strengthen their linguistic abilities (both oral and written), as well as to keep them in touch with their Finnish roots.

It is vital that the children can get a possibility to meet other Finnish children. This will reinforce their feeling of belongingness to the Finnish language and cultural grouping. The school is aimed at children who can already read from the age 7 and upwards. Suomi-Koulu is functioning under the supervision of the Finnish National Board of Education (Opetushallitus).

Teachers are Ella Mäki and Elisa Utriainen.
